Mission

Support and promote dialogue linking advanced neuroscience research on the autonomic nervous system and medical conditions with limited diagnostic and treatment options, potentially leading towards new interventions across many medical specialties.

Activities

Ansyme is a volunteer-led 501(c)3 U.S. nonprofit organization (EIN: 39-4247219). To execute our mission, we pursue or anticipate the following activities: 

Current Activities

• Blog and Substack that highlights lower nervous system research with direct or potential application to systemic and chronic health conditions

• Honoraria for scientist-written guest blog posts about existing or planned research with nexus to the Ansyme mission

• Visibility: social media and attendance at pertinent research conferences

• Organizing conferences & workshops to create new translational research communities

Future Activities

• Micro-grants to cellular neuroscientists in the process of proposing or pitching fundable ideas with nexus to the Ansyme mission:

  • funding for professional grant writing support

  • travel expenses to pitch potential funders

• Contracted scientific reviews

• Recommendations responsive to research roadmap public comment periods

• Expanded visibility, potentially including conference sponsorships
